offers four 4-week modules to help you develop skills for emotional regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal skills and mindfulness strategies. The group will run like a class, providing a safe and supportive space for individuals to practice and improve their skills with the goal of enhancing emotional well-being and interpersonal relationships.

Introduction to Mindfulness

In this 4-week Introductory course to Mindfulness, you will be introduced to the foundational principles and practices that will help you to cultivate a mindful approach to life. This course will teach you techniques to direct and sustain your attention, improving focus and reducing distractions, develop the ability to be fully present in the moment, letting go of past regrets and future worries, cultivate an awareness of thoughts, feelings, and sensations without the need to change or judge them.

Skills to survive tough situations

Important Note:

This course does not replace therapy aimed at processing deeper emotional pain or trauma. While distress tolerance strategies are valuable tools for managing short-term emotional reactions and improving your response to difficult situations, deeper emotional processing may require ongoing therapy or counseling. 

In this 4-week course on Distress Tolerance, you will learn practical skills and strategies to help you navigate difficult, unexpected, or painful situations. Life often presents challenges that can shake us emotionally, and this course is designed to provide tools that empower you to manage those moments with resilience and calmness. IN this course you will learn skills to respond to life’s challenges in a way that minimizes emotional suffering and promotes emotional strength, discover strategies to cope with intense emotions and distress without trying to avoid or escape them, understand that pain and discomfort are a part of life and develop a healthier way to approach these experiences without letting them overwhelm you.

This 4-week Introductory Course to Interpersonal Effectiveness will teach you valuable skills to build and maintain healthy, positive relationships with both yourself and others. Drawing from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), this course focuses on enhancing your ability to communicate assertively, set boundaries, and express your needs effectively. This course will teach you to create and sustain healthy relationships by improving communication and managing interpersonal dynamics, develop the ability to establish clear, respectful boundaries with others, and protect your well-being without feeling guilty, learn to express your thoughts, feelings, and needs clearly and respectfully, without aggression or passivity.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can join online group therapy?

Anyone seeking support and connection in a therapeutic setting can join, provided they meet the group’s guidelines, are not currently experiencing the following: severe mental health symptoms, including unmanaged substance use issues, severe anxiety that prevents participation, difficulties managing anger or other emotional reactions, difficulties respecting boundaries in a therapeutic group setting and inability to listen without interrupting. If you are not sure that group format is a good fit for you, please book a consultation call to discuss group participation.

Groups are limited to 10 participants each. Except Breath Work and Trauma Informed Yoga which welcomes more participants.

Yes, Absolutely! Many people who join group therapy feel shy or nervous at first. Group therapy can provide a safe place to build confidence in a supportive, non-judgemental space. You don’t need to speak right away, it takes time to warm up to the group and you can share at your own pace.
