Viviane Silva

Hi, my name is Viviane Silva,

Welcome to my page!

I’m a compassionate and skilled clinical social worker with extensive experience in supporting individuals struggling with addiction, codependency, and emotional regulation difficulties. I specialize in supporting clients who struggle with a deep need to please others or sacrifice their own happiness and well-being to care for those around them. Many of my clients come to me feeling trapped by patterns of avoiding conflicts, ignoring their own needs and feelings, deflecting from difficult conversations with family and friends, and ultimately harbouring resentment and discontent. It leads to low self-esteem, difficulties with decision making, and a constant need for external approval, recognition and validation. I understand that these patterns can feel painful, and I want to assure you that healing is possible. I will help you to become more confident in communicating your needs and feelings, prioritize yourself, reclaim your sense of self-worth and find stability in your life even if you’ve tried other things that haven’t worked.

I am a yoga teacher and a Breathwork Level 2 teacher with Breath Body and Mind. In addition to that, I am currently an Intermediate level Somatic Experiencing® student with Somatic Experiencing International. My work is rooted in supporting nervous system awareness, embodiment, and gentle, trauma-informed healing.

If you think, you may benefit from working together, let’s connect for a brief consultation call and explore if it would be a good fit. I look forward to connecting with you!

Some approaches

I offer include CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Trauma Informed, Culturally Sensitive, Motivational Interviewing, Humanistic, and Person-Centered, Mindfulness Based, and Strength Based approach. I believe therapy is a collaborative, team effort. I take this approach while working to create a safe and inclusive environment for my clients. I actively thrive to maintain an inviting and nonjudgmental space regardless of one’s identity, gender, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, and depth to the concerns that they are facing.

I believe that counselling should be a space of comfort and authenticity, where everyone should be treated respectfully and compassionately. My training allows me to live in a position of awareness of social barriers, power and privilege, diversity, strengths and challenges. My training enables me to be mindful of societal obstacles, power dynamics, privilege, diversity, strengths, and difficulties. I am looking forward to connecting with you for a consultation call and supporting your recovery journey.
