Therapeutic Journey

15 Minutes free consultation call

This brief session gives you the opportunity to share what brings you to therapy and what you expect to gain from it. You will have the opportunity to learn about my therapeutic approach and decide if we are a good therapeutic match. Finding a good therapist is crucial. You need to feel heard and understood. Once determined that we are a good fit to work together we can schedule an initial session to begin the intake process.

First therapy session

In our first session we will explore further what brings you to therapy. I will ask you questions to get a deeper understanding of the challenges you are facing. We will talk about what has been contributing to feeling the way you are. We will explore your hopes and goals for therapy and create a treatment plan together.

Individual Sessions are $180 for 50 minutes.
Individual Sessions (student) are $140 for 50 minutes.
Group Sessions are $50 per session for 90 minutes.

I can help you overcome the fears and obstacles in your life.

Ongoing therapy sessions

Following our first session, we will meet regularly for a 50-minute session. The frequency of sessions varies from person to person and is usually determined by your own awareness of your needs. Regular attendance and completion of assigned practices are an important aspect of the therapeutic process, in promoting change and growth. I typically recommend clients to commit to regular session attendance to observe positive results over time.

Conclusion of therapy and new beginnings

Over the course of therapy sessions, we will intermittently review your treatment plan and identify your progress. When clients are committed to working towards their goals and consistently achieving them it is time to terminate therapy. This process allows clients to integrate some insights, knowledge and skills gained in therapy and apply in their daily lives. Termination of therapy generates feelings of self competence and autonomy. Understandably, it can also evoke feelings of anxiety for some clients, which is a normal part of the process. When that is the case, we can discuss it in therapy and identify effective ways to manage it.
